Your main desktop has very little memory - only .9Gb - you should have at least 2gb to run Windows properly. The CPU is fine no need to upgrade. However a GPU - graphics accelerator would speed up the system immensely, since all windows and every icons or screen you see in the monitor is done via a graphics card with its own video memory.
When you do not have a GPU you have to overload the CPU and share the main memory - so the RAM upgrade and the CPU is a nice low budget improvement.
TOTAL:$185 plus tax
The laptop computer is fine the way it is - however you should get rid of it as soon as you can, since they get obsolete very quickly and loose value on a daily basis. So if you can sell it for anything more than $250 AND add another $200 (to the money you would get for the sale) you can then buy a nice FAST small screen lower power consumption notebook.
Andrew's computer is simply too old there is nothing you can do with it!
The computer Cairo brought to my place could be upgraded as follows
: must get a new case to house a new motherboard and add memory.
